ASDIP PTKI HOSTS A COLLABORATIVE NATIONAL SEMINAR FOR 4 PTKIN INSTITUTIONS IN INDONESIA
The Association of Library Science Lecturers at Islamic Religious Universities (ASDIP-PTKI) held a collaborative national seminar on Wednesday, September 19, 2023. The seminar, attended by four Islamic universities in Indonesia including UIN Sunan Kalijaga in Yogyakarta, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah in Jakarta, UIN Raden Fatah in Palembang, and UIN North Sumatra in Medan was held in a hybrid format via Zoom.
Opening remarks were delivered by the Chair of the Association of Library Science Faculty at Islamic Higher Education Institutions (ASDIP-PTKI), Prof. Dr. Nurdin, S.Ag., S.S., M. Ayang, who also serves as the Chair of the Library Science Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Wildan, M.A., Dean of the Faculty of Literature and Cultural Studies at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta; and Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum. as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta,Dr. Endang Rachmiatun, M. Hum, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, and Dr. Nursapia Harahap, M.A., Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at UIN North Sumatra in Medan.
Held in a hybrid format both online via Zoom and in person at each university this national seminar focused on the theme “Methodology and Axiology of Library and Information Science.” Attended by Library and Information Science students from each university, the event took place from 8:00 a.m. WIB until its conclusion.
The speakers featured at this seminar are highly accomplished experts in their respective fields, including Prof. Sulistyo-Basuki, Ph.D., a [retired] professor in the Library Science Program at the University of Indonesia; Putu Laxman Pendit, Ph.D., Chair of the ISIPII Supervisory Board; and Dr. Y. Sumaryanto, a lecturer [retired] in the Library Science Program at the University of Indonesia.
It is hoped that the outcomes of this event will be of great benefit to the administrators, faculty members, and students attending this seminar.
