The Lively of IDKS Cultural Exhibition 2022 After the Pandemic

IP.UIN-SUKA.AC.ID-IDKS cultural exhibitions in the past two years were held online. Unlike before, this exhibition was implemented offline, on the 1st floor of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. This cultural exhibition is a direct practice of the IDKS (Information in a Social Context) course, where the target of this exhibition is the general public. IDKS is a compulsory course for 4th semester students of the Library Science Study Program. Basically, this exhibition aims to fulfill the final project. But in practice, this exhibition is a manifestation of the repackaging of cultural information.

Culture in Indonesia is very diverse, including traditional food and drinks, traditional medicine, traditional clothing, traditional houses, traditional toys and traditional ceremonies. Jefri Wisnu Murti as the head of the IDKS cultural exhibition 2022 said that the theme of this cultural exhibition is culinary, with the tag line 'Pazar Makanan dan Minuman Langka Tradisional Indonesia', which displays traditional food and drinks from various regions. The food and beverage products displayed are goeboeg mojok (traditional food from Gunungkidul), kipo (traditional food from Kota Gede), madumongso (traditional food from Ponorogo), bugis cake (traditional food from Betawi), ndas borok (traditional food from Temanggung), sego pondoh, clorot, kembang waru cake and Javanese beer, barongko, blengep cotot, legomoro and saparella.

" The Saparella is the most unique because I never heard it before, and the taste turns out like modern drinks," said Utti Maftukhah, one of the visitors to the IDKS cultural exhibition 2022. Saparella is a traditional drink origin from Yogyakarta.

Even with minimal preparation time, the exhibition this time was very lively seeing the enthusiasm of the participants and the visitors. The longing for an event like this is deeply felt by Dra. Labibah, MLIS as a lecturer who teaches information in the social context course at once as the head of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library. " Happy, a little touched. It turns out that I can get together with my friends," she said when met by the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library on Tuesday, May 31, 2022

In addition to being a momentum to reunite, Dra. Labibah, MLIS said that this cultural exhibition is also a forum for prospective librarians, some of whose functions are conservationists of science aware of the beginning of cultural extinction. There are many cultures around us that are still oral (unwritten), expected to be repackaged, and converted media such as graphic design, video, and other media so that their existence does not become extinct if our elders passed. The goal is for people in the future can know and understand the existed cultures in the past.

There are still a lot of cultures that have not been transferred in other media and in the future will be raised as the next theme in the next cultural exhibitions as an effort to preserve culture. It is hoped that activities like this can introduce more culture and reach more people so that the culture that is the identity of the Indonesian people is not extinct by the progress of the times.
