The Student Association of the Library Science Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga held a Get-Together Night event at Losmen Anoman Parangtritis, Yogyakarta, on September 22–23, 2023. The event was attended by all new students of the Library Science Program’s 2023 cohort, as well as the executive board members of the Library Science Program Student Association. The purpose of this event was to welcome the new students of the 2023 Library Science Program and to help them bond with one another, thereby facilitating their adaptation to the learning process in the classroom. During the event, all participants were encouraged to get to know one another, interact, and build teamwork through various activities.
Participants departed at 1:00 PM. Upon arrival, all participants took a break, and the event began with a sharing session led by the outgoing 2019 HMPS executive board, followed by an introduction of the 2023 HMPS executive board. That evening, the event continued with a cultural performance by the 2023 Library Science Program freshmen, followed by the lighting of a bonfire.

The morning was filled with engaging activities such as fun games and the creation of a class name. The fun games were designed to help participants get to know one another better and to foster teamwork, creativity, and intellectual development.
This orientation event ran smoothly and successfully thanks to the cooperation and active participation of all attendees. The Chair of the 2023 HMPS IP UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Eis Nur Widiningsih, expressed her hope that this event would serve as a starting point for building closer cooperation among students in the Library Science program, thereby fostering a strong community within the program.
With the conclusion of the Makrab event, HMPS IP UIN Sunan Kalijaga 2023 would like to thank all parties who contributed to and supported the success of this event. May this year’s HMPS IP Makrab event serve as a positive momentum to strengthen camaraderie and foster a sense of togetherness in order to realize the vision and mission of the Library Science program.
