UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Library Science Program Holds English Training for International Program Students

The Library Science Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is once again holding an English language training program for international students during this year’s odd-semester break. This program aims to improve students’ English proficiency so they can follow lectures and communicate effectively in an international setting.

The training is attended by third- and fifth-semester international students. The curriculum covers reading, listening, writing, and speaking. The training is led by faculty members with extensive experience in the field of English.

Prof. Dr. Nurdin, S.Ag, S.S, M.A., Head of the Library Science Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, stated that English is an important language for students to master, especially for those who wish to participate in internship programs or continue their education abroad.

“This program is expected to help students improve their English proficiency so they can follow lectures effectively and communicate fluently in an international setting,” said Prof. Dr. Nurdin, S.Ag, S.S, M.A.

The training lasted for one month, from January 8 to February 2, 2024. The students who participated in the training were very enthusiastic and gave positive feedback on the program.

“This training has been very beneficial for me. I’ve gained a lot of new material and tips to improve my English skills,” said one of the training participants.

The Library Science Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga is committed to continuously improving the quality of education and providing the best services for its students, including in the area of English language development, so that students will be better prepared to face global challenges.
