Two Library Science Faculty Members at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Earn Microsoft Certified Educator Certification

Yogyakarta, December 11, 2024 – Two lecturers from the Library Science Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Ahmad Anwar, M.A., and Andriyana Fatmawati, M.Pd., successfully earned Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) certification after participating in a training program held in Surabaya on December 9–11, 2024. The training was organized by Trust Training Partner and focused on enhancing educators’ technological skills, with an emphasis on technology literacy and 21st-century instructional design. Ahmad Anwar and Andriyana Fatmawati participated in the training, which was designed to prepare educators to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process more effectively. Through this training, participants gained an understanding and practical skills regarding the use of digital tools and platforms that support teaching in the digital age.

Having successfully earned their MCE certification, these two instructors are now recognized as educators who are competent in utilizing technology to improve the quality of learning. This certification is an important step toward realizing a more innovative education system that meets the demands of 21st-century technological advancements. Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) is a certification that assesses educators’ educational technology skills, with an emphasis on technology literacy and 21st-century instructional design. This certification helps educators better prepare to meet the challenges of modern learning by leveraging available technology.
