Yogyakarta — The Library Science Study Program of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences (FADIB), UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, has carried out an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) as part of its efforts to strengthen the quality assurance system and improve the quality of its implementation of the university’s threefold mission (tridharma perguruan tinggi). The audit was held on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, from 09.00 to 12.00 WIB, in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences at UIN Sunan Kalijaga.

The AMI involved two internal auditors from UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Dr. Ika Kartika, M.Pd.Si, and Hilmy Baroroh, S.E.I., M.E.K. They examined various aspects related to the implementation of the tridharma, particularly in the areas of research and community service, including document compliance, implementation of quality standards, and the performance achievements of the Library Science Study Program.

Strategic role of internal quality audit

The implementation of AMI plays a strategic role in the development of the Library Science Study Program. Through this audit, the program can systematically, objectively, and thoroughly evaluate the degree of alignment between the established quality standards and actual practice. The AMI process also serves as an important mechanism for identifying strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities that can be followed up as part of continuous quality enhancement.

Head of the Library Science Study Program, M. Ainul Yaqin, M.Ed., expressed his deep appreciation for the implementation of AMI and for the constructive inputs and recommendations provided by the auditors. He noted that these suggestions are highly valuable as a basis for reflection and strategic planning in strengthening academic governance, especially in the fields of research and community service.

Strengthening accountability, standards, and accreditation readiness

The Internal Quality Audit brings significant benefits to the Library Science Study Program. Among others, it enhances accountability in managing the tridharma, ensures the implementation of internal quality standards and the National Standards for Higher Education (SN-DIKTI), and strengthens the program’s readiness for accreditation processes. AMI also encourages the growth of a quality culture in which all academic staff and stakeholders are accustomed to working in a measurable, data-driven, and continuously improvement-oriented manner.

Through this Internal Quality Audit, the Library Science Study Program at FADIB UIN Sunan Kalijaga reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving academic and institutional quality. This commitment is in line with the vision of UIN Sunan Kalijaga as a leading university in the development of scholarship, Islam, and Indonesian civilization.
