Since the beginning of his studies, Mufid has been actively involved in a wide range of competitions, bringing forward innovation rooted in social solutions, literacy, and creative media. These efforts have resulted in a series of accomplishments that not only elevate his own name but also bring recognition to the Library Science Study Program and the university.

Early achievements and university-level awards

One of his early achievements was earned at the Exact Essay Cup (EEC), part of the Kalijaga Competition Talent (KCT), a Rector’s Cup event held from 11 to 21 November 2024. Through the innovation “Cytra Soap”, Mufid won Second Place at the university level under the supervision of Dr. Syifaun Nafisah, S.T., M.T.

His achievements are not limited to academic writing. Mufid has also demonstrated his concern for literacy issues through audio-visual work. On 6 May 2025, he took part in the Short Film Literacy Content Video Competition organized by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, with the Regional Library and Archives Office of the Special Region of Yogyakarta serving as host. Presenting themes on library development, reading culture, and digital literacy, his work succeeded in placing among the Top 50 entries at the national level.

National-level recognition with eco-friendly innovation

Another national achievement came at the Student Scientific Research Week (PRISMA) held by the University of Mataram on 25 May 2025. With an innovation called KIRAI, an environmentally friendly natural pesticide, Mufid earned the Second Runner-Up (Juara Harapan II) at the national level, supervised by Satiti Ratnasari, S.Si., M.Sc.

International victory in public service advertising

His highest competitive achievement so far was attained at the International Sport and Art Competition of Public Administration (ISCOPA) organized by Universitas Nasional. In the Public Service Advertisement Video category, he won First Place at the international level. The award was received directly in Jakarta on 29 August 2025, once again under the guidance of Dr. Syifaun Nafisah, S.T., M.T.

Campus appreciation: Kalijaga Changemaker and Kalijaga Prestasi

Beyond competition results, Mufid has also received institutional recognition as a Kalijaga Changemaker, a university-level award for students considered innovative and solution-oriented in responding to social issues. His winning innovation, titled “Super-Talent Inclusive Learning Media”, focuses on strengthening learning access for inclusive groups.

In 2025, Mufid was further honored with the Kalijaga Prestasi award as an outstanding student in the national team category, underscoring his consistency and contribution across various competitive arenas.

Process, perseverance, and organizational experience

Behind this impressive list of achievements, Mufid emphasizes that none of it was obtained instantly. Since his first semester, he has been actively involved in various student activities both inside and outside the campus, including the Study Program Student Association (HMPS), student activity units (UKM), the study program’s public relations team, and the Organization of Library Science Students (OMIP). His habit of reading books, articles, and news on socio-political issues has also enriched the ideas that he later developed into competition innovations.

In his view, relationships and experience are crucial capital in developing one’s potential. Active involvement in organizations opens networking opportunities and paves the way to be selected as a delegate in various competitions.

Mufid’s journey clearly shows that Library Science students have significant opportunities to excel in multiple fields. By maintaining consistency, being willing to try, and being ready to learn from every process, achievement becomes not a final goal but the natural result of a long, earnest journey.
